We had a beautiful ride with an early morning departure from Leland down to Frankfort.. Initially, we experienced a slight beam sea, which was slightly uncomfortable. This, however, resolved halfway to Frankfort, and the rest of the day was gorgeous. The inlet into Frankfort is really beautiful, and the leaves in the surrounding hills were just beginning to change colors which made the scene even better. We stayed at the Jacobson Marina resort, which was not really much of a resort, but we shared the complex with just one other boat. The town is very close to the marina and is really nice with a lot of interesting businesses, restaurants, and downtown parks. The municipal Marina is close and also appears to be well kept, adjoining a city park. We went to an Italian restaurant overlooking our marina and had a great dinner. You do get the sense that during the season this town is probably packed.

Kathy's legs continued to improve and she is now fairly mobile, wearing the left leg brace only when working on the deck. She was able to walk the 6 to 8 blocks as we explored Frankfort.
