What a town! Grand Haven, MI

Continuing our tour down, the western shore of Michigan brought us to Grand Haven. The breakwater leading into the river and the municipal dock is really spectacular. Photographs of the breakwater during winter storms covered in snow and ice made me happy that we would be out of the area before that happened. We arrived after most of the tourists had departed and the town was starting to button up for winter. We thoroughly enjoyed our several days in grand Haven, although many of the businesses were closing for the season. It's a nice little town, fairly compact and really clean with interesting shops and attractions. We're anxious to return during warmer weather.
